Lewis and Clark Caverns
August 19, 2008

On our last day in Montana, Stetson, Abby, A.j., Brad, my dad and I went to the Lewis and Clark Caverns.  The caves are amazing; however, the coolest part was the Beaver slide. I tried to take a video of it, but it was really dark (I wonder why :)

Me, A.j., Abby Stetson and my dad in front of the Chocolate Waterfall.

Dad, Stetson, A.j. and Abby at the 1 mile high (above sea level) point in the cave.

"Gates of the Rocky Mountains"

The "Gates of the Rocky Mountains" was first discovered by Lewis and Clark. It has been a tourist attraction for many years, run by a local ranch owner. It was a fun day trip for the whole family, except maybe Abby... Love you, babe! :)

This video is of the "Gates of the Rocky Mountains" opening up. You have to watch it as if you were Lewis and Clark, riding in a canoe, looking at what appeared to be a dead end and then right before your eyes, the mountains open, giving you a path to continue your adventure... It really is a lot cooler in person. Anyone up for a trip to Montana? :)

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride!

This is an Audubon sheep. Lewis and Clark wrote about them in their journal while passing through the area. They are now extinct, which is why this hanging is of  importance.

Journey to Montana

I (Kaley) had the wonderful opportunity to travel to the beautiful state of Montana to visit my family. As you can see, I was in good company. The last time my grandparents visited montana was in 2006. Way too long ago :) On the drive up we stopped by Jarica's house and held Brinley. What a doll :) We then stopped at Devin and Kim's house and were able to visit with most of the family. I must admit that I miss living in Rexburg and being close to the Shaum's. It's like a breath of fresh air every time I'm there :) Swapping nursing stories with Kim is a much needed stress reliever for me...I miss you Kim! :) The picture below was taken at their house in Rexburg.

just Whistle while you work!!

This is the only way Abby and A.j. will do chores... soaking the floor and sliding down the hall. Hopefully the wood makes it through :)

BearTooth Adventure 2008
My dad took my brothers (and Ella) backpacking into the Beartooth mountains. They had all gone the year before with the scout group and loved it so they had to go back. They visited lakes both in Montana and Wyoming. Notice Ella's backpack...if A.j. had to carry a pack, so did Ella!   j/k A.j.!

Ahh, relaxing by the lake.

A.j. and Ella enjoying the snow at Snow Lake.

Fishing and relaxing...what more can you say?
Looks like you caught a big one, A.j.!
I think the last name of Fisher suits my dad, don't you?
Classic Stetson, just chillin' out in style... notice the turned up collar :)

Turning 12

A.j. turned 12 years old on June 19, 2008. My dad, along with both of my grandpa's, were able to be there to confer the priesthood to A.j. Our little A.j. is growing up :) He looks soo sharp in a suit to.

Scout Camp 101

THis is A.j. in his element...guns! My dad was able to go with A.j. to scout camp in Island Park this year. Looks like A.j. learned a few things and had fun doing them!

Brinley Nichole Wadsworth

Most recently, Brinley was able to see her grandparents. Aren't these pictures adorable? :)

On July 20th, 2008 Brinley Nichole Wadsworth was blessed by her dad, Zairrick. It was a beautiful blessing. Brinley didn't cry at all, which is amazing considering the struggle it was to get her into the dress!

This is Brinley on the 4th of July. My mom and me picked out her outfit while we were in St. George at our girl's reunion. Jarica wasn't able to make it, but we still had fun shopping for her cute little baby!

One of my mom's favorite past times since Brinley's birth is to drive down to Idaho and spend time with Jarica and Brinley. My mom love's to give Brinley baths... you would think she'd died and gone to heaven!

Thanks Abby, for up-keeping our blog...I think it's my turn to update a few things! First, I'll start with the most important event, the birth of Brinley Nichole Wadsworth. She was born on June 6th, 2008 in Idaho Falls, ID. My mom and sister Abby were lucky enough to be passing through when Jarica went into labor. Jarica had to have an emergency C-section due to Brinley's breech position. Unfortunately, neither Jarica nor my mother had a camera in hand; therefore, we have very few pictures of her birth. My mom swears she'll learn with the next grandchild... :)
